Welcome to La Femme Collective! If you've seen us on the Internet, by now you're probably wondering, "What exactly is LFC? I've seen their cryptic Instagrams, their not-so-discrete tweets. When are they going to really tell us what they're doing?" Well, I'm about to let you in on the secret.
So hello everyone, my name is Nora Henick and I'm the Founder and Editor in Chief of LFC. You know what that means? I’m here to tell you exactly how to live your life. Twenty things you need to learn in your 20s or else those years are basically worthless. The power outfit you need in your closet in order to land you the dream job, which you will then become the CEO of in two months.
Just kidding, I’m not here to do that, because despite what a majority of people believe, the Internet has other purposes besides for telling you exactly how to live your life.
Not a writer by trade, but someone who has always spoken loudly and incessantly about things I am inspired by, passionate about, or puppies, I have decided to team up with the Internet, as well as a group of really unbelievable women, to create a “blog” if you will. But don’t be fooled by this word, because what we plan to create is much more than just a blog, it’s a platform.
I genuinely believe the women of my generation (give or take a few years) have a lot to learn but also a lot to share about their career journeys. That’s where La Femme Collective comes in. LFC is that text conversation you have with your friend about hating your job, it’s that major career choice you could have made but never acted on for fear of being silenced or shut down. Myself, along with the LFC team and the community we hope to grow, are here not to tell you how to live, but to encourage you to live. Stand up instead of sitting down. Share your voice, share it so much that people have no choice but to listen. At LFC, we’re a team of women who want nothing more than to see other women be treated with the respect and self-respect they deserve to be treated with in the work-place.
So let’s start talking...
