Katie Nehra | Actress, Writer & Designer
Katie Nehra is what LFC (and pretty much anyone else) would describe as a triple threat - between acting, writing, and designing, it seems as though Nehra does it all. You can catch her playing the right hand woman to another equally headstrong and talented woman in a pseudo-love story about a hitman, but you can also catch her co-writing scripts, and when she's not doing that, she's building a fashion empire. Read below to learn a little more about this entrefemmeur who's taking the art world by storm.
Sofia Salazar | Textile Designer
Hi LFC! I'm Sofia and I'm a textile designer, I'm Argentinian, I live in the UK, and I'm now my own boss. Both of my parents are artists and they've always worked on their own. I grew up surrounded by people that 'made things' for a living. Whether it was clothing, accessories, tapestries or even houses, they were building, they were creating - and that really had an impact on my whole perception of life and family and career.
Beth Spencer | Web Designer & Beth Spencer Design
Do some recreational doodling, take a walk to think about ideas for new work, meet a friend for lunch and ask what they think of your work and ideas. Post everything on social media and don't take feedback personal. You have to create a lot of bad material before you get to the good stuff, but that's a part of the ride.
Nicola Schuller | Hair and Makeup Artist
From a very young age I always knew I was a creative person and not someone destined to work in an office in front of a computer! I actually admire those that can as I really struggle with anything technical. With the changing direction of the makeup industry & social media becoming a platform as an online portfolio, I rely on technical whiz experts who help me with everything and I am forever grateful.
Paige Farrow | Photographer
The good, the bad, the ugly. I would sacrifice anything to create what I want to create and that’s exactly how my mind works as a photographer. The human brain works as a partnership with you as the one who is working along-side of this organ. Some say you cannot control the brain, as some say it controls them so much that they notice they become one with their brain. I’ve seemed to come to the conclusion that I allow my brain to do the work for me.
Jaime Hagmann | BobbyD&Boyclothes
Some of us are born knowing what we want to do. Not me. I was just born. I was, however, born with my eyes wide open. My Dad says I was looking around the room with just my head out. Maybe that's a clue to who I am supposed to be; a sign of the visual legacy I am to leave in this world. Maybe I was just a weird kid. Either way, I started life with my eyes open. Creepy? Yes. Observant? Absolutely.
Stephanie Lavaggi | Jr. Art Director at Free People
My name is Stephanie Lavaggi and I was born and raised in sunny Los Angeles. (Fun fact - An uber driver once told me that people born in LA who still live there are called "unicorns" since everyone moves from somewhere else to live the LA dream - which I'll gladly accept.)
Sophia Altholz | Interactive Digital Aritst
I was born and raised in New York City, lived in Israel for 4 years, graduated Pratt Institutes Honors BFA Digital Art & Interactive Media Program, currently living in Brooklyn, working part time doing SEO and Marketing/Design, while I spend the other half of my week applying to full time creative jobs in tech/start ups to begin my (to be) dope ass career.
